Ted Amendola brings more than 30 years of business, computer and educational experience to Amendola Communications. With a diverse background in various leadership positions in education, architecture and computer technology, Ted oversees the agency operations.
Prior to co-founding Amendola Communications, Ted served as business development director and technical advisor for the western division of a national marketing communications firm. He played a key role in the agency's western expansion and business development in healthcare and technology markets.
Jan Shulman is an award-winning senior public relations and marketing communications expert with more than 30 years of experience covering all aspects of media relations, strategic counsel, marketing communications, crisis prevention and management and community relations.

In addition to leading media relations, Todd provided strategic public relations’ counsel to the CEO and senior leadership team, wrote all press releases and executive-authored articles, provided crisis management and media training, initiated and edited the company’s public blog, and managed Allscripts’ quarterly earnings call in partnership with Investor Relations.

For News Broadcast Network, Inc., Todd was part of a team that developed video news releases for Fortune 500 corporations, national organizations, trade associations, non-profits and government agencies.

More than a dozen of Tim's clients have been acquired by tech industry leaders such as Oracle, IBM, Sprint, SAS and JDA Software. He has also provided strategic guidance on thought leadership campaigns for some of the top technology associations in the country, including the Society for Information Management, CompTIA, SHARE (an IBM enterprise IT user group) and the Independent Oracle Users Group.
Earlier in his career, Tim served as a senior account executive for Axiom Solutions, a marketing consulting firm that provided branding, corporate identity, training and market research services for Fortune 500 healthcare clients. His clients included Abbott, SmithKline Beecham, Beckman Coulter, Ventana Medical Systems and bioMerieux.
Tim's career in media and public relations began in the U.S. Army, where he was an award-winning journalist and public affairs professional who served at Ft. Benning, GA, 2nd Infantry Division on the De-Militarized Zone in Korea, and Ft. Huachuca, AZ. His military career culminated with an assignment as the bureau chief in Wuerzburg, Germany, covering troops along the East German border for the European Stars & Stripes newspaper. After he left the service, he worked for Army Times Publishing Company as a business writer covering the military's global retail systems and their suppliers.
Tim is a graduate of Roosevelt University and the Society for Information Management's Regional Leadership Program. He is the Director of Cary Pride Day, a community beautification program that draws more than 100 volunteers annually and in 2007 received the State of Illinois Governor's Home Town Award for Excellence through Volunteerism. Tim served on the Boy Scout Troop 657 and Cub Scout Pack 557 committees, and was a founding board member of CHARACTER COUNTS! in Cary and the first President of the Cary-Grove High School Cross Country and Track & Field Association. In 2007, he was the first recipient of the Village of Cary’s Pride Award for service to the community, and in 2012 was one of six inaugural recipients of the Cary Park District Service Award.
