With more than 24 years in human resource management, Barb serves as Amendola’s Human Resource Manager where she is responsible for the administration of policies and employee benefits and the recruitment, acquisition and retention of employees.
Barb believes effective and professional talent management is a key factor in ensuring the achievement of a company’s goals. Her career in Human Resources has been varied, including experience in the healthcare industry, publishing/digital media and conference marketing.
Prior to joining Amendola, Barb served for nearly 10 years as HR Manager at Advanstar Communications, a leading worldwide media company. During her tenure, Barb managed a major staffing transition from New Jersey to Ohio. The transition included recruiting and hiring numerous employees and their successful onboarding into the company. She also directed teambuilding events by utilizing her skills in event planning and marketing. Barb also developed employee educational materials to ensure successful employee assimilation.
Barb holds a PHR certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Myers University.
Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Barb loves spending time with her family, including her two grandchildren, Nora and Michael, and is also trying to improve her pickleball skills.
