Jodi Amendola

CEO

Jodi Amendola is the founder and CEO of Amendola Communications and is best known as a healthcare PR and marketing leader, change maker, strategist, and storyteller. She has more than 30 years of experience helping healthcare, health tech and life science organizations shape their narratives, generate market/brand awareness and thought leadership, accelerate sales, and strategically position themselves for acquisition, initial public offering and organic growth.

Under her direction, Amendola delivers integrated, holistic programs to clients in a specialized niche through a deep understanding of their unique needs and how to help them rise above the noise in a crowded marketplace. Today, the firm is one of the top health tech agencies, with a team of 25 industry veterans known as the “A-Team” and over 50 clients across the United States.

A thought leader on LinkedIn, a Forbes Agency Council contributor, and a guest on numerous marketing and PR podcasts, Jodi provides expertise and guidance to the industry on how to drive PR and marketing value by leveraging best practices and trends. A tireless networker, she has strong relationships with industry influencers, analysts and the media and leverages them for clients, colleagues and industry stakeholders.  Jodi’s A-team appreciates her “can do” attitude and collaborative leadership style and ongoing focus to help women and others advance in their careers.

Jodi executes high-impact business-to-business public relations and marketing communications strategies for companies of all sizes and stages. She has led campaigns for industry giants and start-ups, including Cisco, Intel, TriZetto, Allscripts, Medicity, Eclipsys, Health Catalyst, iSirona (now Nant Health), Health 2.0, multiple McKesson business units and many others.

Over the years, Jodi and Amendola Communications have earned numerous awards and recognition, including the “Best PR Agency” award for several years running from PR SourceCode. Amendola was named a top 5 Best Tech Agency in the U.S. by editors, reporters and freelancers; won MarCom Gold Awards for client work; and received an honorable mention in the Overall Healthcare Agency category by Ragan & PR Daily’s ACE Awards. Jodi was named a Ragan’s Top Women in Communications Awards Honoree in 2023; one of PR News’ Top Women in PR in 2017 and 2019 and in 2018 received the Top Women in Healthcare award. In 2019, she was a finalist for Top Women in Healthcare by PR News. Jodi was also named an elite FortyUnder40 by the Phoenix Business Journal.

She has served as a speaker and panelist at a variety of healthcare and PR/marketing conferences, and has judged industry award programs. Prior to co-founding Amendola Communications in 2003, Jodi worked 14 years at a national PR and marketing firm specializing in healthcare and technology.

Jodi currently serves on the board of Chilmark Research, a global research and advisory firm that is solely focused on the market for healthcare IT solutions. Jodi served on the board of Help In Healing Home Foundation, an Arizona nonprofit offering affordable accommodations to recovering patients and caregivers. She served on the Board of X2 Health Network, a not-for-profit executive women’s health network. Other philanthropic and community engagements included a six-year term with her daughter providing philanthropic and fundraising support or National Charity League and serving on the Board of Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, as well as numerous other volunteer and charitable activities.

Jodi is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as a member of the Arizona Chapter of HIMSS, having served as chair of the Arizona HIMSS Marketing & Communications Committee.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in Mass Communications from Boston University.

When not on a Zoom call or working on a proposal, you can find Jodi on the pickleball courts–she’s a little obsessed! She lives an active lifestyle in Arizona and California, where she loves to work out, do yoga, and go hiking and for walks with her adorable 15-year-old cock-a-poo, Tilly. But most of all she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Ted, daughter Jackie (who is on the PA path) and her boyfriend Matt playing pickleball or golf. Jodi also enjoys cooking, shopping, spending time with friends and traveling to Cabo and Europe. Italy is her all-time favorite… so far!
