Philip is a senior leader with an impressive track record at a myraid of small and large technology, pharma-focused, and healthcare-focused PR agencies. He has built, managed and executed PR and marketing programs since 1995. Using the power of storytelling and influencer relations, he has launched new companies, brands and products, resulting in market penetration, market share growth and corporate acquisition for such clients as HP, Language Analysis Systems, Motorola and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has led several healthcare IT programs for companies such as Kaufman Hall, Vocera (VCRA), which was acquired by Stryker, Capsule, which was acquired by Philips, Lightbeam Health Solutions and pharma-focused companies such as Kalderos, the world’s first drug discount management platform as well as multiple clinical trials companies.
Prior to joining Amendola, Philip worked at Chicago-based PR firm Tech Image, serving in various roles over his 15-year tenure, including managing client programs, providing strategic counsel, pitching new business, growing client relationships, teaching best practices and managing finances. During that time, he served several clients targeting the healthcare/HIT sector, including NEC Display Solutions, IBS (now Iptor Supply Chain Systems) and Cleo. Philip also has worked in the technology practices of Hill and Knowlton and Porter Novelli. He began his career at U.S. Robotics and 3Com. Philip holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.
Away from work, Philip enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, especially at his son’s gymnastics meets. He also enjoys reading, working out, and grilling, as well as ensuring his family’s Siberian cat, Cookie, is not eating inorganic things around the house.
